On Thursday 2nd July 2015 Eastry class went to Wingham Wildlife Park for a class trip.

When we arrived we had a talk with one of the keepers and had the opportunity to stroke a corn snake and hold a tarantula! Even Mrs. Morrison held it.

We also delivered all our items for The Chimp Appeal, which the keepers were very happy to take. We had lots of jars of peanut butter, honey, sugar free jelly mix and at least 40 tennis balls for the chimps to play with.

We then went off in our groups for the day to see all the animals and compelte our tally cahrt for our maths lesson the next day. We all met at 12pm to go for a walk through the lemurs and one of them jumped on Mr. Potter's head! Then it frightened Miss. Scott by jumping on her shoulders before jumping on Mrs. Luck and back on the wire.

After lunch we went to watch the penguins being fed and found out lots of information about them. Some of the penguins were hiding in their houses as they were nesting.

Our day ended with a visit to the park and collecting our gift bags from the shop.

We had a great day, despite the thunder and rain and came back to school very exhausted.
