Our Local Church

Northbourne CEP School is proud of its close working relationship with the Parish of Northbourne and St Augustine's Church.

Our Church Incumbents, Revd David Ridley and Revd Sandra Marsh are as much a part of our school community as the pupils, parents and staff.   As well as leading Collective Worship for the whole school every Tuesday, they also play an active part in our wider school life such as a weekly lunchtime club, regular services at St Augustine's Church in Northbourne village and supporting our staff in delivering our R.E. curriculum.

Our pupils visit St Augustine's Church throughout the school year for all the major events, festivals and celebrations on the Church of England calendar.  We also hold our Year 6 Leavers Services at St Augustine's.

Northbourne CEP School classes have regular visits to the church throughout term time linking in with the school curriculum.

During the school holidays, many of our pupils attend Corners holiday club which is run by St Augustine's Church and takes place at Northbourne Parish Hall.

The Federation of The Downs and Northbourne is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all Governors, staff, volunteers, parents and carers to share this commitment.
