Day 3

Wednesday 23 September 2015

Dear Parents

I visited Year 6 today at Arethusa.  I arrived for breakfast and they were all tucking into cereal, sausage and hash-browns, followed by toast.

After breakfast their first activities were team games, where they were set a problem.  This usually involved moving either themselves or objects around, but without enough equipment for them to be able to achieve a solution on their own.  It was fascinating to watch - thank goodness Isaac was with one group or they would still be untangling themselves next week!

They all said that they were having a fantastic time and were looking forward to rocket building later in the afternoon. The weather yesterday obviously hadn’t dampened their spirits – but then they are used to Mr Chidwick and doing Forest School – whatever the weather!

Rest assured, they are all eating well, sleeping well and throwing themselves at every activity with great gusto.  Amazingly, the cleaner told me that she was impressed how tidy they all were – quite a surprise to many of you I’m sure!
