PUPIL VOICE

Our Pupil Voice leaders are democratically elected by their peers. They work alongside school staff and the Head Boy and Head Girl to help identify and lead on global and local advocacy projects, a well as school improvement issues, here at Northbourne.  As part of their role, this core group discuss key issues and then report back to the school community.

This structure ensures that all pupils and staff at Northbourne are playing an active role in developing the social and charitable advocacy of the school, as well as helping our school to continue to develop and improve.  Pupil Voice is a key tool for helping to develop self-confidence and leadership skills across years 1-6.

We are confident that Pupil Voice makes a positive impact on our children, our school and our local and global community.

How to be a Pupil Voice Representative

  • Committed and determined to make a difference
  • Thinking about ways to improve the school and our local and global community
  • Looking out for issues to deal with
  • Talking to pupils and staff
  • Learning new skills
  • Ideas about projects the pupil voice team can lead on
  • Listening to other pupils' views and understanding them
  • Caring about our school, our local community and our global community, and wanting to help improve it

Northbourne CEP School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all Governors, staff, volunteers, parents and carers to share this commitment.
