Eastry class explored the great outdoors and showed our mums where we do Forest School. The pond was especially popular with the class explaining all about the life in it and how our frog spawn is developing.
We then went through the woods where some mums were amazed at our tree identification skills. Pausing for a rest around the charred remains of the camp fire the children spontaneously started singing our Ghanaian song of welcome 'Funga alafia'. I was very impressed with the willingness of many of the mum's to pick up the skipping rope and tackle the hop-scotch. Hopefully many happy memories were made and re-kindled for both generations!
